About Roshan

Roshan M White is no stranger to public service, a United States Marine corps veteran of the Gulf War. Since serving time in the Marine Corps he has completed a five-year plumbing apprenticeship through the United Association Plumbers Local Union 24. Shortly after, he also completed instructor training and has been conferred upon the title of certified instructor of journey workers and apprentices by Michigan State University and Washtenaw Community College. Roshan has been a member of Plumbers Local 24 for the past 25 years. In 2016 he was appointed to the position of business agent of Local 24. His duties now consist of protecting the trade jurisdiction of the UA, compelling employers to observe and respect collective-bargaining agreements, adjusting all grievances between members and the employers with justice and fairness, as well as fostering and promoting employment for the members of Local 24.

Roshan, along with his wife Bonnie, have been raising their two children in Scotch Plains since 2003. They have been very active participants in SPF recreational and high school sports. Roshan’s oldest child is now in college and his youngest has entered her first year of high school.

Roshan stands with the motto: family, God, Country, and the United States Marine Corps.
