Deputy Mayor Elizabeth Stamler, Incumbent

Elizabeth Stamler is a lifelong resident of Scotch Plains, was first elected in 2019 and serves as the town’s Deputy Mayor. She works at the County of Union as the Assistant Superintendent of Weights and Measures. Elizabeth is a passionate advocate for organ donation and rescuing abandoned dogs.  Elizabeth serves on the boards of the NJ Sharing Network Foundation and Hearts for Emma.  She also serves as foster parent to numerous dogs, sometimes three at a time, and walks them Saturdays at the Farmers’ Market and through town hoping to find a family to adopt them.  As “DM,” Elizabeth serves as Vice Chair of the Downtown Redevelopment Committee and as the Council’s liaison to the ADA Advisory Board, Library and Green Team.

Counselman Roshan "Roc" White, Incumbent

Roshan “Roc” White and his wife Bonnie have been raising their family in Scotch Plains since 2003. Roc is a Marine Corps Veteran and labor leader, currently serving as the Business Manager and Financial Secretary for Plumbers Union Local 24. Roc was first elected to the Town Council in 2019, and currently serves as the Council’s liaison to the Fire Department and Memorial Day Parade and Concert Committee.  Roc is also a member of the town’s Planning Board and Complete Streets committee which seeks grants to construct sidewalks within the township.

Counselman Matthew S. Adams, Incumbent

Matthew S. Adams and wife Meredith along with their children have lived in Scotch Plains since 2014. Matt is a partner at Fox Rothschild. He is the co-chair of the firm’s White-Collar Criminal Defense & Regulatory Compliance Practice Group. He is also the VP of the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of NJ. Matt was first elected last November and is completing the unexpired term of Josh Losardo who vacated his seat upon becoming mayor.  Matt has served on the Planning Board and is the Council’s liaison to the Recreation Commission, Police Department and Environmental Commission.
