Mayor Joshua Losardo, Incumbent

 

Josh Losardo has lived in Scotch Plains for more than 15 years.  Mr. Losardo has served on the Town Council since 2019 and as mayor since 2021.  He is the part owner of a gym located in Brooklyn, New York, and was partner at a New York City law firm where he worked for 15 years specializing in Administrative Law and Creditor’s Rights. Councilwoman Ellen Zimmerman, Incumbent

 

Ellen Zimmerman has lived in Scotch Plains for over 24 years. Mrs. Zimmerman was first elected to the Town Council in 2020 and is currently serving as Deputy Mayor. Ellen is a Licensed Worker who works as a field liaison in the Rutgers University School of Social Work. Ellen and her husband of 28 years have raised three children in Scotch Plains; Alison, SPFHS Class of 2017, Kelly, SPFHS Class of 2020 and Jeremy, SPFHS Class of 2023. Mrs. Zimmerman has been an active volunteer in the community.  She has served as PTA President at McGinn Elementary School and Girl Scout leader for both of her daughters’ troops. Ellen served as a School Organizer for the Girl Scouts, where she was liaison for ten local troops. As Deputy Mayor, Mrs. Zimmerman serves as liaison to the Scotch Plains Senior Advisory Committee, Scotch Plains Senior Housing and Library Board.  Mrs. Zimmerman is committed to ensuring Scotch Plains remains a safe, happy accommodating community.
